I got already a Lokar 16" Nostalgia Shifter in my Model A. Problem is i want to add a Different Shifterknob with the Adapter but Its just to close to the Dashboard so i wonder if another style would help.
So if you have a Lokar shifter id love to get the Distance from where it sticks out of the Floor aka fwd and the Center of the Knob aka aft (not the Height). Looking for help with :

Radical 32 Shifter single Bent and Double Bent ,

    23" Nostalgia Shifter

Thanks for taking the Time, Marco

I dont know if you tried but there are four bolts attaching the shifter to the plate on the trans. If you loosen them the shifter will tilt forwards and backwards and may give you the space you need. If it's close enough bend it back a little so it has clearance. I have bent them back but not very far.

I think it will get you away from your dash if that is what you are looking for. I have a pic of mine in my 40 ford on a 400 trans.

Thanks fat a-bone! I was just thinking the other day my shifter is a little close to the dash, and as I plan on putting an underdash ac unit in the middle I was thinking it just may hit it.

I bought mine used so I'm not sure which it is, but it looks like 4tford's to me.
I just re-read what you want and I'm not quite sure what you mean. If you'll tell me what I need to do to get the measurement you want, I'll do it this afternoon.

Marco, I just had a shop install a 23" SINGLE bend in my 41'..
    GO with the DOUBLEBEND,
( I'm looking to swap with someone for a doublebend,)
I even had the BELL CRANK KIT allowing to mount closer to the TH350 bell housing- though they never cracked the packaging) !!!
My problem WAS & IS , in such a limited enviroment of a 41 cab,.. not only where it lands in park, bUT where it sets in DRIVE, d2, or low..
I think they made the double bend for most apps,.
    just my 2 pecos

  8. Get a torch, heat, and bend. Did that with a Gennie and then cleaned it up with scratch pad. Cant tell it was heated.

Thanks , regarding heating and bending not sure if that works with lokar...i was thinking of that too but they run the release mechanism inside.
fatabone cheers got to try that tomorow...the measurment i was looing for is not from the dash or fire wal just how much distance is between the knob and the base looking at it from the side then i can take it as a measurment and check to my dash (36 -39 chevy truck).....thanks all again...im getting there :)
