ive been on here for awsile ,lurking about so im going to post my slow going build im a trucker and I travel the hiways and byways across the country so I don't get much time at home to work on this got a few pics ill post
yes ,everyone else is running big v8s,have to get the steering column in, HELP...! need another set of hands thoughts I have a column just getting it mounted
I like what your doing there. I can relate to the needing more hands. I am lucky that I have one kid left a home that still enjoys and will go out to the shop with me. Good luck on your build. If your ever on I40 around the I35 interchange holler and you can come out and we can talk hot rods
I would wait on mounting the column until after you start working on the seats. An inch here or there will make a huge difference in the comfort. Like the straight 6 you have there.
QUESTION, why did you cut the holes in the firewall ? use corvair steering box and mount master cylinder under the body. glass "all" those holes up and the rad needs to be closer to the engine. I,ve built t-buckets for 4 decades and 6 cyl chevys also. if I can help just contact me. also I was a owner operator for 25 yrs. bob p/s look for a mercruser aluminum finned vale and tappet cover.
Looks like a good start. I have a 240 Ford 6 cylinder in the shop that I have thought about using for a simular project.
They were there when I bought it, but I have a solution, an aluminum firewall to cover all that up when I have all the steering column sorted out
