  2. Kurt,

I know you asked for dipper, but have you thought of soda blasting? There is a place in Oxnard that does soda blasting called,
    Anacapa Soda Blasting
    530 Spectrum Circle
    Oxnard CA. 93030
    805-207-9027
    www.anacapasodablasting.com

I saw a body they did and was very impressed, it was clean down to the bare metal and still had the back window in it undamaged. Oxnard is close to him , he might go by there and check it out.

I used a place in Santa Fe Springs to have a body dipped about 15 years ago-- and it turned out great. If i remember right, i think it was called PSC (Painting Stripping Corporation.) They had great big tanks to handle about anything.

just talked to a relative who has also used Strip Clean in Santa Ana.

whatever you do, make sure they have a process of getting the stripping chemicas off well, as well as make sure they apply a protective coat dip-- as this dipping takes everything off-- in all crevices that you cant reach.

One of the companies that franchised the paint/ rust stripping outfits was Chem Strip but I didn't find any links when I did a
    Google search.
Acid dipping was what the racers did to remove metal to make their drag car bodies lighter and wouldn't be desirable for a street car.

Try some searches such as chem strip, chemical paint stripping, Rust removal and the like.
Then narrow it down to So Cal.

The soda blasting is kinda pricey but it has such a nice finish.
The cool thing is it leaves some kind of protective film that keeps it from flash rusting
that is supposedly not corrosive like acid dipping or bad for paint.

I've used Strip Clean in Santa Ana, 5105 1st Street. They did the body on my 47 Packard, and I'm bringing some fenders for my 54 Chevy down there the end of this month.

    Kurt,

Here's a place I have been using for the past 20 years in the Valley. They do a great job and fair on price.

    Van Nuys, Ca

  9. What is a fair price to have a body/ frame dipped? I am in South Texas, and There is a shop locally, but I have not gone to talk to them. It's a '31 5 window I want dipped.
