Hey there guys and gals ... quick question for you's. I'm looking to buy the best for the money no BS adapter kit for my 235 6 cyl to adapt to a turbo 350 auto ... I have a set up right now and I've been cracking flex plates like crazy (4 to be exact ) and just want one that works !!!!
If you just slap the parts together you can have that happen with any of the adapters out there. You need to verify that the centerline of the trans is within factory tolerances of the centerline of the crankshaft. You may need to use offset dowls to correct any misalignment. Call up the manufacturer and tell them whats going on. They should be able to help you through the process...
Hey Patch, nice to see another Burnaby resident here. Langdons sells an adapter kit, I've never used it but I hear it's pretty decent: http://stoveboltengineco.com/index....:category=412400&mode=product&product=1396439 If you're cracking flexplates, there may be something out of alignment with the adapter or the transmission input itself. trust me guys I know ... I've gone through this enough times and still not happening, last time it was installed by a very reputable tranny shop, so I'm at a loss here. hey Lotek ... where you at in Bby
