I have a 235 in my 59 Apache that is making noise (probably wrist pin) and is casting # 2764476. I have a replacement 235 of same time period that is #3769716. The replacement engine doesn't have provisions on the sides for the engine mounts. Instead, it has a pad on the bottom that would bolt through the crossmember. Has anyone here modified their truck to accept the different mount? Why would it be different if both are castings for a 1959 model?
