I am building a 235 Chevy and i have acquired a three deuces set up on a 4brl adapter. Can i run this on a near stock 235 or will it be to much for it to handle? The carbs are three Rochester 2gc. I will be running a Clifford intake and split headers.

You can't build a 235 that could use all that carburetor! Heck 2 1bbl's is about the max for a streetable 235.

These are all triple carbureted Chevy 230 or 235 inlines and none has a fuel richness problem. It has been done on 216 and up for decades. I know of 261'a and 250's up with five carburetors and all run very well.

What if i bought a 2x1 intake and adapters to run the two Rochesters on it? These are the bigger 4bolt type carbs instead of the 2 or 3 bolt ones.

All those examples are 1 barrel carbs and small ones at that. He's talking about 3 two barrel carbs with MUCH higher CFM. One Rochester 2G would be enough to make a 261 happy and 3 would be hopeless.

X2 on a stock 235 not needing more than one 2GC.

FWIW, There are lots of guys appearing to be running lots of carbs, but sometimes there's only one or two really passin' gas. At a recent GoodGuys show a 6-71 blower with six 97's was really an empty case covering a stock 4bbl under there.
