I see where there’s a freeze plug weeping on the side of the block on my 235. I see on the kits for a 235 there are several of them ranging in sizes. I’m guessing that there might be more on the back of the block and under the timing cover? I didn’t find any mention of where the other plugs were in the 1955 Chevy shop manual pdf or Bill Toboldts book. I have a tough time believing that Chevy would have a concealed plug that might allow coolant into the crankcase. The other plugs look like oil galley plugs and flat covers, not at all like cup style freeze plugs. The last time I did anything like this was on a 1976 Jeep Wagoneer and installing a block heater because I was smaller than my dad and could get myself crammed in under the ch***is better than him, lol.

  2. I though it was just 2 on the side, 1 in the back of the block. There is another big one on the back of the block but it goes behind the cam?, not coolant.
