Technical 235 Chevy fuel pump question

Hey everyone,
This is probably a silly question but I just bought a new fuel pump for my 58 235. The problem I have is the fuel inlets a turned like 20 degrees anticlockwise compared to the old pump. Is it ok to just take off the fuel cover from the pump body and turn it to line up with the fuel lines? Or will the pump not operate properly if I do that?

 

It will be fine and the term is "counter clockwise".
