I have the original 235 engine in my 54 Bel Air. I recently replaced the original mechanical gauges with a set of VDO electronic gauges. Does anyone know where i can get an electric temp/coolant sender that will replace the mechanical sender. That, or an adapter to fit the electric VDO sender into the threads where the original sender went. I've searched all over the internet, parts stores, etc and can't find anything. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The stock mechanical guage port in the head was 5/8X11 thread as I recall not a pipe thread as there was a shoulder at the bottom of the hole. So drill it out and tap pipe thread [3/8th should do it] or see if you have a extra port in the T-stat housing.
I put a plug in the original temp sender location and drilled and tapped a hole in the thermostat housing for my new sender when I went to the electric quad gauge in my 51.
