get the Offy linkage kit! There was a detailed discussion on this at the Ol SKool Rodz site including pictures and illustrations
That car gave me a woody at paso robles. That engine is amazing, you really could probably eat off of it!
I could buy something, but I was hoping to make it myself. I've the makings of two or three multi-carb set-ups on the shelf, and I'm going to try to build them up and sell them to pay for paint on my truck, so the more I can make out of the stainless scrap bin at work, the better...
Kinda lame photo, but here's mine from a while back. Dual webers (probably not so traditional), coated headers, water-heated Offy intake, otherwise stock. -Jeff
That's the Factory Manifold Gray: http://www.por15direct.com/s.nl/sc.2/category.235/.f Here are a couple more pics...
Does anyone have pictures showing how they hooked up their T.V. cable to dual carbs? I have a 235 wtih dual carbs on an Offenhauser intake mated to a 700R4. Any help would be appreciated.
i'd recomend posting an intro..... what adapter kit are you using???? and are you using the stock linkage or cable?
Sorry that was rude of me, not introducing myself. I posted an intro on the new user site. The tranny is bolted to the engine with an adapter from Langdon's. I was planning on using a cable unless you guys have a better way.
Good job.... it's always better to know who your talking to I did mine (54 belair) using the same adapter you got. I got a generic cable from bowtie orverdrives. The mount for the cable is mounted on an angle off the adapter plate and runs to the stock linkage, which has been modified to run progressive linkage for an offy 3x1 intake. i have not got any clear pics of how it works, but i'd be glad to try and take a few if that would help... here's bowtie overdrives web sit, very informative, lots of good info to soak up. http://www.bowtieoverdrives.com/index.shtml o'yah, welcome aboard...
Any pictures of where the T.V. cable hooks to the engine would be very helpful. I know how it hooks up to a 350 engine, not sure on the 235 with 2 carbs
cable on a 235? I'd be interested in seeing the pics, too. I prefer linkage though. I've never heard of a linkage breaking but hear of cables snapping all the time
no i have the stock linkage setup still on, just wondering what he was using...also reminds me....gotta take a few pics...back to the garage i go
here's a few hard to see pics.... white arrow points to fun stuff, green line is where the actual cable runs sorry the pics suck so bad, it's just hard to get them to show up. hope this helps, any more q's fire away
