I'm installing dual Fentons and glasspacks on a 50 Chevy 235/Powerglide. Has anyone tried flipping the mufflers around (installing the backwards) for more bark? I want as much rap as possible without it sounding like crap. If I wanted it just loud and crappy I woulda just run open lakes.
search for threads with your title in it. i forget who it is, but someone suggests that. others have suggested just running one pack on one exhaust and the other straight. just search it.
take and run the glass packs with the smooth side of the louver faciing the exhaust flow pour some gear oil in the glass pack and soak the fiberglass with the oil then put a torch in it and after it gets hot and is burning turn off the acetlyne and open the oxygen wide open when you have a good flaming afterburner going they are ready to be put on for a good sound if you use a muffler with no louvers it will be real loud and can skip the burning proabbly AND THE SHORTER THE BETTER SOUND FOR LOUD
I heard of guys putting oil or water in the glass packs to give the car a grumble sound. I ran glass packs on my 50 Chevy and my 56 Oldsmobile. I really like them.
Your gona get rap, and then some. We used to crank her up to 2 grand and drive through a local tunnel in town and she would pop all the light bulbs as we passed them. There is dual exhaust and then there is 235 duals. AWSUM
you might want to drop waldo53 a line on this one,i believe he has that set up on his 235 and it does sound good.
