image.jpg image.jpg A buddy of mine has a 235 motor from a 57 Chevy truck, was a floor shift like my truck. My 216 is getting tired and I believe she's ready for a rebuild, so I'm thinking about putting in this 235 any suggestions or pointers before I attempt to do this!

The water pump on the later 235 is lower on the block than the 216,by 3 inches, this puts the fan lower on your radaiter, there is an adapter and Chevs of the 40's has it that relocates the water pump to the orginal position, you need to drill and tap 2 holes in the block to do this, not a big deal I just did that on and early to late 235 in a truck.
