235 L6 exhaust thoughts?

well, i got a question, i have a 235 with 2 inch pipe and cherrybombs. honestly, i hate how it sounds. on acceleration it sound almost like a honda with a fart can and it sounds like a firecracker when foot is off the gas pedal. im not sure its cuz i have speedway split headers or maybe my timing and carbs arent tuned right, but it gets a bit obnoxious. perhaps a cross over pipe with flowmasters? p.s. this truck on this post is fantastic. great work!

Go with the 2 inch all the way. I prefer 1 3/4 all the way back but that's just me. Your work looks great. You should be happy with the sound.

How bout an off idle video?

 

Very nice, that's gonna be a real clean truck. I need to pull my engine, freshen up the gaskets and give it some paint. After seeing how nice yours looks I am going to have to push that up the to-do list. Thanks for following up with the video, turned out great.
