235 question

When I removed the intake manifold from my 235, I noticed there was one ring between the head and the intake manifold. My question is....are there supposed to be three of these rings or just 1. If there are three, where can I get the other two.

 

Bet'cha you removed it 'cauz it was leaking. Anyhow, them's combination seals and alignment gizmos. Go to any machine shop that does valve jobs, established before y2k, they take them out and never return them when customers pick up their heads. They'll have a bucket full.....LOL!

 

I just took apart a 235 if you want i'll check to see if there still there if they are i'll send them to you just pm me by Wed and i'll let you know

these rings are kinda important !

 

you can make some pretty quick and easy if you have some small exhaust tubing and a chop saw....

 

So is it leaking? Cuz mine is,too-sorta oily/fuely/yellowish ****

 

they are alignment rings that help seal the manifold. they are cheap and widely available. you should have 3.
