Who you getting the Tranny Adapter from? Langdon's?
I talked to a guy that was disabled a couple years ago that was planning on doing this cause he couldn't drive his old truck any more, but I never heard how it turned out, I'll see if I have his info anywhere and try to look him up, It was a sweet truck, but I haven't seen him around.
Also you might want to do an Introduction it's generaly recommended here before posting questions that way folks know who they're talking to.
Also you might wanna move this post to the Hokey Ass Message Board category, this category is ment for Q&A about the board.

yeah are you sure you can put a 350 behind a 235, im pretty sure you cant. There was just a post about this within 2 weeks and it arrived at the conclusion that a powerglide is the only tranny that will work with a 235. Any post 62 or 63 chevy inlines will though if I remember correctly. Where did you find this adaptor. Could be true though too.

4. doesn't that car have a torque tube ?. if so then it has front mounts and you need side. i would find a later (early '60s 235) because they are side mount, FULL oiling system, non tube motors. you will also need a rear end from a '55-57 car (open driveline).

5. Buffalo Enterprises sells an adapter for the 235/350 combo...but that guy is a jerk and if something is not right he is slow to admit it's HIS fault. I don't recommend doing business with him...IF he's even still in business! [IMG] Also...I have a 54 235 and it has side mounts. My 54 TRUCK 235 had front mounts though.
