Any 235 wrenches in CT? Need valves adjusted, loud tick from under valve. Tried it myself, but still kind of noisy.

The rocher arms will wear out where the push rod rides in it. That might be something to check.

First thing is to determine if you have solid lifters or hydraulic. Solids will always be pretty noisy even when adjusted right, hydraulics should be very quiet.

I always adjusted my 235 after it was well warmed up...about a 1/2 hour of driving..

Pulled it in, pulled the rocker cover off and with the engine running, adjusted the valves...I've several sets of "curled" feeler gauges:)

You feel for the drag on the feeler gauge.

After a bit, you'll know what's right and what's not...i/e start off with a real slight drag...set them all the same "feel"...see how she runs...your slight drag may be someone's else heavy drag...anyway.

Also, they shouldn't be noisy if adjusted properly...should sound more like a sewing machine at idle.
