Technical 23T windshield post repair

    Just collected a pair of T posts, before I send them off for chrome……. You can see a little hole , both have one, does that insert come out easily or weld the hole and give to the chromer?

    Bum thing is, that inner rubber holder is hiding a bunch of rust. So even if you weld up the hole from the outside, there’s still lots of rust that will creep back through the chrome later.

    The inner holder is spot welded at a few spots up each side.
