Gah.. That firewall set-up is gorgeous. Are you going to make more "aesthetically-pleasing" brackets or stick with the ones you made? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Glad the wheels finally showed. I've watched this thread and really like roadster. The wheels will be perfect on it Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I didn't know there was such a thing as a "junk 32 firewall" but I really like what you did with it. The stock T firewall is kinda rinky-dink and this adds some meat to it, very nice.
I know it's too late but have you ever thought about putting the springs inside the frame rails and reworking the crossmember so the springs clear it? A lot of work just to clean up the front end, but it might look cool.. I have mixed feelings about those brackets just hanging off the side of the frame rails.. Still the bitchingest T build going on right now though. I love it. Oh. And the wheels.. Chrome? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Great update. I love the louvered panel in the rear. Can someone fill me in on the wheels? What specifically are they from?
I think the wheels are from a '40 with the V8-60 motor, a one-year, one-model wheel with the 3.5" width.
I understand. I was wondering about how having the spring packs so close together would affect the handling too. I look forward to what the spring pack covers will look like. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Still watching to see how you do your door...and have already stolen a few ideas. We actually got started on ours the other day after havig it lean against the wall for a few years.
Nice work on that door, I really like how you did the hinges. Your body is really evolving into something far greater than Henry ever imagined. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Just to let you know, I rode shotgun over 100 miles round trip and busted my ass pushing that new '29 roadster project uphill from its resting place to Otto's trailer for you...you now owe me a ride in it....Otto did buy me lunch...small world, ain't it?
Wow! Just bend this here, then use the stretcher and shrinker like this........ Yeah right! You make it look so bloody easy! Excellent work, as always. Cheers, Stewart.
Thanks for the post on the door, it's nice to have someone else do it first. For now I gotta bolt the turtle deck to the body to mount a rollbar thru it, mount the motor and rear end, and front end etc. etc. etc. This build thread is really nice to refer to.
It looked bitchin' on instagram. Looks even better with a bigger picture. Hows that Olds motor coming along?
That grille looks great on there...I have a cherry T shell to use, but that certainly looks nice. Hmmm...
