Projects '24 T Roadster build

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by Anderson, Aug 21, 2012.

  1. Funny, when I saw the assembled picture, I thought "glad he didn't chrome the spindles". Everyone has a different view I guess :)
In my opinion, there's such a thing as two much chrome. I think Eric nailed the balance.

Truth be told I have never liked chrome. But when it works, it works, and when it's right, it's right. Anderson is definitely getting it right.

I have always liked the look of painted pieces in the midst of chrome. It seems to imply function within the glitter and add detail that could get lost in the sparkle.

Looking really nice....Hey, have you thought about using some of the space between the rails and the torque tube / transmission for foot wells? I know it's pretty skinny in there but every little bit helps, and it'll make climbing in easier....have a th350 in mine, and still got some usable space. Now I gotta go weld them in.

Why are half the pictures on these posts obsolete? So frustrating. The first photo shows then at least twenty of the following photos are small blue boxes.... Anyone know why these build threads cannot display posted pics?

The problem is most likely with his photo hosting website. I use photobucket.com and the same thing happened on my fordor thread. Sometimes they change the format on their end and it screws up the picture link on the thread. Or he might have reorganized his pictures in his photo hosting account which also messes up the link to the pics on the thread. Pain in the ass to fix and time consuming.

  21. I think Merki quoted post #1. For sale as in when Tardel was selling it.

All I want for Christmas is an update, and a quickchange.

Forgive my ignorance - but what is the function the trailing arms fixed to the rear axle as well as the torque tube? Is it just to relive stress from the joint between the rear and the tube?

    Thanks,
