    Don't raise it! Mount a lawnmower blade under it and have the most badass mower on the block!

    Kidding aside - that car is damn near perfect in my eyes. Usually I can pick out atleast 10 things I would change on a car but I can't find any on yours.

    What happened to the over under deck setup? I thought that was just about lack of time too?

  14. I had the same thing with my T I need to swap the T spring out for an A one as mine has sagged big time! I've now got a tail dragging roadster! Your T is looking perfect though.

    now that the car is running, how is the sideways mounted '35-up box working out? any bumpsteer issues?

    You do have an eye Anderson. I see you have stepped back, way back and looked/starred at your roadster's profile. You'll be surprised how an inch up in back will change/improve the look. The engine will visually look almost perfectly level.
    Post more profile photo's when you do it.
    I too love the look of your roadster.

    That's the answer I expected...;) You see the same thing on probably 60% of the early 50s built hot rods you look at. Contrary to modern, history revisionist hubris, those guys weren't all a bunch of total retards...;)
    I still remember what Jake said in R&C about his first midnight drive in the restored Niekamp car...

    Man, that's kinda scary. I am doing a '39 convert (probably 1200lbs heavier than your car) with a pretty healthy 324 (4 94's, ported heads, 10.5-11/1, solid cam) and a side-shift cad coupled to a shortened torque tube, man if yours will pretzel one at 1800/2000lbs ish, whats mine gonna do to one at 3200lbs?...:eek:

    Wow! Thats a closed driveline? Made of toilet paper tubes? I've broken a lot of old Ford stuff behind stout engines but I've never done that. It'll make a nice floor lamp stand.

    I've seen the same thing with a stock 1935 Ford truck fireengine. It sucks.
    But other then that you did a great job!

    I looks good, and if you can take you one hand of the steering wheel, all is well in the handling department[emoji4][emoji106]

    Your friends got som nice cars too.

    It's beyond me why anybody what's to call there firm for ASS.
    I know a guy over here who called is firm for Max Motor service, and that's the Danish name for Launchpad McQuark, the guy from a cartoon series who crash most every time he lands. He didn't get much work, and a lot of laughter.

    That's beside the point, keep at it, and post plenty of pics!

    Sometimes it's hard to understand just how much work a particular piece is doing until it lets go. Someone once explained that the closed drive line system just pulls the car around by the motor mounts. I would have thought an axle key, U-joint, or gear would have gone before the tube.

    I was thinking my model A driveshaft might not hold up but that looks like exhaust tube,,,,,in regards to your original brake conversion that you didn't use what stopped you from using it because the backing plate part looked pretty good,,,I would like to do that with original drums,,,
