So...I'm having an extremely hard time sourcing a rebuild kit for my WW locally. And I really hate ordering stuff like this online, usually because after a week of waiting, I end up with the wrong thing in the mail.

So here's my question. Is 500 cfm way too much for this little engine?
I've found a Holley 2bbl locally that's 500cfm. It's something that would be easier to source a kit for, and it's right down the street from me (not to mention the price is within my allowance!) Just as something to get this old Dodge running until I can afford to put more time and money into the WW.

Holley 500 2-bbl has a huge base; why not use something off of a 318?

Wasn't aware that the Holley base was so different.
Am I better off sourcing a 2bbl off a 318? My main reasoning behind the Holley was knowing I could go pick it up tonight.
But if I'm gonna need to spend even more time looking for an adapter, it seems like I'll just be spinning my wheels....

Picked up a carb off a 318 poly last night. Needs a little cleaning, but can't complain for $20.
Digging into it after work tonight....
