I wrote a piece on the main board about this drive train. It'a COMPLETE 250" 69 Chev/GMC truck engine with attached 350 turbo trans. Starter, alternator, pointless Petronix distributor, cast iron headers from the Stove Bolt Co. The engine was a running, driving set up in a VERY nice 38 Chevie Sedan. About 60,000 total miles. It needs nothing but could use a basic clean up and fresh go round with chrome polish) It also has the radiator, trans. oil cooler and rear end. The rear end is a 76 Olds Omega (same as a Nova) w/a 308 or 320 gear. (not sure about the gear ratio but in that range) The width from bolt surface to bolt surface is 60". The drive train came out Nov. 15th and has been in a heated garage since. If you ever thought about a good running Chevie six in your ride, jump all over this!! The $500 is for the complete engine and trans. but Dave is a sucker for a sob story, so you might get a hell of a deal on the rest also. Needless to say it doesn't make much sense to ship it, but it's sure worth a road trip. BILL RINALDI 219-757-1138 (I've got pictures of the stuff but I sure as hell can't figure out how to post them)
Ya know, before I started this sale, I wrote a post about this engine/trans. on the big board and how it should go to some one wanting a no hassle set up for good running 6. A couple of guys responded to the thread and basically said , there is a lot of guys on the HAMB who talk about doing a 6, but no one will actually buy it. Couldn't believe it--- but they were probably right---The only SERIOUS correspondent who actually made a "I'll buy it!!" offer is from the U.K. Both Dave and I have been burned by off shore buyers before. (separate O.T. deals) so we are a little skeptical about taking another shot at that. This whole engine and trans deal and ALL the extra stuff can EASILY transported in the back of a pickup truck!!----- C'MON
Still got the whole works -----don't have any idea why. More guys showing interest but nobody showing up. Oh well, sooner or later------
