Help. My 250 Gen-3 is still in my '74 Larsen boat & the engine is LOW hours. Nobody seem to want the big mod. deep-V Larsen, so . . . My only Q is: If I take it out of the MARINE application, I heard you have to change the distributor & other parts of the igniton system. Something about which direction a boat motor turns VS. how it needs to perform in a rod. Any help?

This one belongs to a friend of mine. It is in a 26 T. It has a tri five rear end, 4 speed. And it is a kick in the ass to ride around in. PURE HOT ROD.

Okay all you six offenders,I've got a question. My 230 engine is equipped with a pcv valve vented thru the stock valve cover.I've got an Offenhauser finned aluminum to replace it.I found an oil breather cap with a pcv valve tube in it.Will this be sufficent to vent it properly or will I need something else. What have some of you done in this situation, pics please.
    Thanks....Giz'

  7. That is not a 250. it looks like a 261 valve cover could be a 235. OldWolf

A friend ended up helping me machine a spot for a pcv valve. I don't have pics yet.

Here's a thread on the same subject:

Hey oldebob - where did you get that remote oilfilter setup? I might need one like that for the 250 in my 52 Chevy.

    Nice looking 6, btw..

    thanks!

I think the block plate I bought at NAPA, the dual filter set up is an old STP poduct.

O.K. 9 days later and she's not running yet. Things happen. We tried last night but we're having some issues with getting the HEI dizzy set right. I got it from Langdon's but the directions lack a little detail. I don't know shit about dizzy's and timing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
