Anyone have pictures of full fendered 26-27 T's with something other than SBC, SBF power? I have a 27 Tudor project that I'm having a hard time deciding what to run for an engine. The car had a buick turbo v6 before I got it. I originally planned to run a 390 tri power FE, but I'm not sure I can make it fit and look good. I don't want the front seats setting way back in the body, and I'm afraid much stretch foward of the firewall would look odd. Right now I have an 8ba flatty mocked up in it, looks like it would work. I have a variety of engines to choose from but I would rather have the FE in this project. I have a Mercruiser I_4, 8ba's, 59ab's, y-block, SBC, SBF, B/RB mopar, FE's and one 429lima to choose from, but I would prefer the FE. The car has a boxed T frame under it now, but I plan to build a beefier frame that will allow a wider powertrain and if needed a little more wheelbase to clear a longer engine. I don't have anything against the other engines, just have them in other vehicles. The only thing vehicles that I have raced at the strip or circle track were FE powered, quick and dependable. Wow I didn't set out to write that much. As the car sits now. The engine I would like to use.
Must not be many fendered T's out there with big engines! I did manage to find this one with a hemi in it. The extended nose looks alright on an open car, but a long nose on a tudor might look like Pinochio. I guess I'll have to mock it all up and see what it looks like.
