Hot Rods 26 27 Trunk Lid

Hello, is any body making a complete steel deck lid for my 27 ford roadster ?

 

I bought one a couple of years ago from a place called howes I believe. It was all steel and fairly well built.

Don't buy anything direct from Howells!!! They will take your money and not deliver the parts. Only purchase parts from them on ebay.

 

I bought patch panels from Howells on ebay a couple months ago and they shipped out and I got them within a week.

 

If you do manage to get a deck lid… consider buying the inner and outer skins separately. The inner skin will need to be fit to the opening, and the outer skin will need additional shaping that can not be done once assembled. Buying an assembled deck lid is better than having no deck lid, but taking it apart to fix it will ruin your day.

See if you can get it off ebay. Howell’s is located in Beaumont, Texas. They want good ratings there so are good about filling orders. They go by 09-40 Ford Sheet Metal on ebay.

Try Rootlieb Inc. Turlock cal. 209 632 2203 Excellent quality had a hood made for my 30 A with a 32 grille shell matched up perfect!! Daryle

 

I looked at Rootlieb i think they only have hoods.

 

I picked up a Howell's decklid for the Sugar House roadster and we had to work it into proper shape. It wasn't the worst but it wasn't right either.
