I goy the NOS heater control valve for my pickup today and I was thrilled. Then I thought of the package you are waiting for and smiled. :) We are waiting with you.

Glad you finally pulled the trigger. I know you won't be sorry. Sounds like my information about the Winters being offset was incorrect. I think what they meant to say is that the left axle has to be 1" longer than the right. The housing is centered. Sorry for any confusion.

  11. View attachment 2775461 web.jpg View attachment 2775461 Right on for sure! Love the choice of the QC! I told you about my latest project, I want to run a quick change also but it will be a hand made one. Don't think it would handle the Y-Block power but will do fine with a Flatty. Good to see you making progress. :)

    Thanks Tim,
That is pretty neat . Good looking flathead and that quick change will also be great.
Good looking start to your T.
If you can find time, do a build thread for us to follow along when you get going.
    Larry.

I love the mock up with the flatty, the bomber/creeper seat, and the steering wheel. Be careful not to knock the engine off the wood blocks when you are sitting there making "VAROOM" sounds and banging gears.

Somewhere around a week from now my parts will arrive  :D
In the meanwhile I got a 12 ounce spray bomb done in a Sapphire Blue, it's an RAL color, RAL 5003.
I did a sample spray out and really like the color.
The best part is that powder coating powder is available in the same color.

Hell, I am having troubles handling the wait. o_O:rolleyes:;)

  18. The Hurry up and wait game is forced upon us all. You'd think eventually we'd get used to it, but it seems the more you get to play it the harder it is.

I'd like to take a poll and find out how many guys run a quick change and of them what percentage actually swap gears around in them?

I'm getting 3 sets of gears to play with and will swap them around from time to time depending on what I want to do.
I anticipate some playing around from time to time ;)

Oops  Too late. :) I did find the powder available to order and our local powder coater also has it as a stock color.
    Thanks for the info :)
You are right about the color being kool, I really don't think we have to worry about everyone else wanting to use the same color.
    We won't all end up parking together either ( I don't think ) :)
The main problem I'm having at this time is finding the color in a Single Stage Urethane.
I want to go that way as opposed to base-clear. I want to try my own hand at painting. :)

  22. Party at Larry's when it arrives, he cant have all that fun and excitement on his own :D:rolleyes::confused: JW

Finally ! The freight truck dropped a big box in my driveway. So big I had to unpack it all there and move all the stuff into my garage.
    Christmas came early :D

Thank goodness is right. Now the fun can start.
There are also no instructions of any kind, as you can see it's all assembled except the axles are not slid in.
One axle is longer than the other and I'll have to figure out which side that goes into.
Axle end bearings supplied and look good. Seals are installed so I'll have to watch the heat welding on the brackets.
There are spacers with the axle bearings for different offsets of brake kits, and again with no instructions I'll have to figure that one out.
I'll also need to know later what to watch out for in taking the side tubes off for powder coating.
I can see myself spending some time on the phone with the Winters tech guy. :)

It's going to be great Dick.:)
