265 oiling question / high RPM lifter noise

Throw a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil in it. The old timers swear by it for noisy lifters !! >>>>.

 

So, where are we on this?

 

Well?

 

Saw him a couple of weeks ago and all was well. The verdict is tentatively that it had badly gummed oil p***ages throughout. It is behaving much better now. He still has room to tighten stuff up, but it's aneat car. Lot's of soul in this one. The kind that makes a grown man misty eyed.

 

Cool. Please tell him it would've been nice to share that info after ALL the help we tried to give him. This way we can all learn as well
