My vote for the greatest looking Hot Rod ever.

 

What year did he set the record? The Corvette nose on the car wasn't available until 1968, so if he set the record before then, he did it with an entirely diffeent nose on the car. If so, I wonder what nose it was? It would be interesting so see what it looked like at the time the record was set. Great, cool car either way!

 

Neil didn’t enter the 200 MPH club until 1966.

 

I found this photo from the year. 1961. The few people that actually saw my aerobatics told me they counted 9 times the car hit the roof on the lake bed. Yes, I consider myself very lucky to still be here.

I don't know why so many copies of the same photos are posting??
