@brEad Thanks man. I just feel like I could have created the zip out in a different order. The two pieces crept on me when I sewed them up, which caused a misalignment as it goes around. No big deal, it will be good for a while. Cheers buddy!
Couple of questions if you have time. Did you end up using the inner decklid skin you made and what did you use for hinges ? Humpback lid hinges from something? Thx
I did not end up using that inner skin, I gave it to @h.i. for his 27 roadster , he got it fitted to a lid he made. I really got stoked on the louvers and couldnt work out a great drain system etc. The hinges I used are from an early 60's triumph tr3. They were the only hinges I could find that were the right size for the T, the humpback stuff is just too big.
Just read this whole thread. Pretty cool little roadster. On my 27 tub I drove A LOT with the tonneau coving everything but me.
Wow! This tarp is excellent... Just the finishing touch, looks great zipped or halfway. Steering wheel turned out great, never thought of flattening out a T wheel. (Bet that was the model for the original 4 spoke Bell...) Overall stance is very sound, not all '27s look this 'planned'. Windshield perfect. Louvers look well finished with striping, you haven't lost it! <My specialized 'trade' was 356 Porsches. The 356es had an aluminum 'skin' under the deck lid, spaced about 1" down, like a 'collecter tray' with 30* brake on the sides, and the bottom edge had a 'gutter' that ran downward left and right, culminating into a 20mm. rubber hose each side. Hose exited out of the engine compartment floor, down and out.>
@Tman and @Atwater Mike , Thanks very much for the kind words! Mike, I noodled that whole drain thing for a while, but to be honest, I just got into finish it for rpm mode. I'm enjoying it now, like a 4 wheeled chopper, if stuff gets a little wet, I dont mind. I'm a pretty low maintenance guy.
