I guess I can put my roadster in here too! Thanks again Ryan! All steel '27 w/2.3 turbocharged 4 cyl. Just like the '54, computer controlled fuel injection. Finished in 2018 and been driving it ever since. I had a build thread on another site but that site went under and took my thread with it! Here's some of my build pics............. I started with this......... De-rusted the body using the mol***es method........ https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/rust-removal-the-miracle-of-mol***es.557996/ The bun panels were toast so I made my own. Dang Photobucket! https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum...ter-1-4-panels-from-scratch-for-cheap.613570/ Made the frame from 2" x 3" rectangular steel..... Front kickup......... Ready to go........ Found a '38 Ford pickup front suspension at Turlock and grabbed it........ Found an 8" at another local swap and grabbed that...... Trailing arms from Pick-N-Pull. 1999 Land Rover Discovery...... Pick-N-Pull coilovers from an '88 Subaru station wagon and a Geo Metro 13 gallon gas tank. Junkyard steering box, intermediate shafts, U-Joints and column. 1988 Suzuki Samurai. Made a cowl cage to support the flimsy cowl. Found a swap meet rollbar outta a Baja Bug. Sliced and diced it and it works! Engine control wiring fun! Got it altogether and running and drove it around town for a few weeks to work out any bugs. Tore it all down, sandblasted and painted the frame and started putting it all back together again. Made the dash from a chunk of cherry wood. Sprayed the body Hot Rod Black and started laying out the flames (my first time). Came out good! I've put a few thousand miles on it since '18. It's a blast to drive and people definitely take notice! Puts out about 300 hp and gets 30 mpg. I call it my 300 hp go-cart! Oh yeah, I've got a hair over $5k in the whole thing!
