27 T Body Parts

    I am trying to find a deck lid for a 27 T..anybody know of a co. making a decent steel reproduction..Thanks for the input...L.T.

    www.Fordor.com check out this link they have new lids. I've heard they may not be that great of quality, but they're tough to find. I need one for my roadster too.
     
  3. I have not used the deck lid from Fordor.com (Howells sheet metal) but I have used a few patch panels and floor panels and the worked well. Uselss

    I have used parts from howell sheetmetal and it was very good. They have a website

    Macs and everyome else gets theirs from the guy who makes them--Howells in Texas (fordor.com)
     
  7. Wescotts builds all their own as far as I have ever known....been there doing it for years...

    also for all of you folks looking for messurements for frames for Fords from 26-27T's up through 35-40(41 pick-ups)....the back of the Wescotts Catalog has VERY DETAILED diagrams...

    I can tell ya the howells lid for a 27 is a pcs of shit. To make mine work, I had to take the skin off and make a tube frame and re-skin it. And all the other crap to hinge it up and make it work.--TV

    I got the back panel for my 26-27 tub from Howell's and it didn't have enough curve. I called them and they told me to beat down on it with a mallet. I ended up with about 29 piecuts on each side to get it to fit.

    Please let us know how the part from Macs works out for you. I am trying to decide wether or not to buy one or try and repair the old one.
