Howdy all, First off, thanks to you guys for all the informative posts. They've been incredibly helpful, particularly while building the ch***is for our latest project - a 27 T coupe. I've been building bikes and hot rods for 40 years or so but this is my first ground up car. It's currently a roller and I expect we'll be driving by late spring. With the help of a couple good friends from HAMB we (I should say THEY) got the top chopped 8" and sectioned the body 4", all in a couple of evenings. The motor if a full race flathead, '39 ford ******, '56 Chevy rear end, 4" dropped Super Bell axle, 12" MT street slicks in the rear and Harley tires on Ford wire wheels up front. The ch***is was built with 2"x3"x1/8" tubing and we used 3/4" square tubing for the sub-frame. I'll post a few pics to get started and then update as we move forward. Thanks again to everyone for a great site. R
