Well friends, me and Cuzzin Deke got bored with our bland 6 banger hot rod and have done a few modifications. You may remember this car from my "Turd Polishing" tech thread a month ago or so. It was someone's unfinished project that we bought and brought to life and put it on the road. With the help of a Speedway Motors Offenhauser dual carb intake kit, we upgraded to 2 carbs. Then the original exhaust manifold was split and modified. The local muffler shop bent some custom pipes for the car. Deke reworked the rear suspension by re-arching the spring and added a pair of shock absorbers. We had the car professionally pinstriped by Ron Meyers from Tulsa, OK. Just need a pair of air cleaners now and we have a hot rod that goes like hell. Look for us at GoodGuys Kansas City in 2 weeks. We plan to sell the car after that show. Here are some photos.
BTW, the car has a 235 cubic inch Chevy and yes I know it has the "stove bolts" on top of the valve cover but no it's not a 216. And it is hooked up to a cast iron powerglide ****** that motivates this light weight car just right. Our new exhaust has a real low rumble now that we were hoping for. Thanks for looking at our jalopy!
****, he told me he was going to stripe a car, I didn't realize it was that car. He does great work, can't wait to have him do something on my car when it's done.

Thanks! I appreciate that. Been driving it all day. Getting thumbs up from all the Harley bikers and waves from everyone else. Not a bad way to spend my Sunday.
Yes, I do as a matter of fact. Meet me at the Kansas Speedway at the GoodGuys Show and we will put them on the track.
