What's the little tag on the rear cover say? If it's a number like 3602 it's a Pat Warren cover.

It's funny that you widened your body, cause I'm building a '26 with similar parts and I narrowed my body 6 inches.

I spent the last 3 days doing the cowl steering. I'm using cowl steer because I need the space up front for a larger radiator to cool the flathead. The 52 Willys steering box was a gift from Leon Brown. I really like it because of the way it mounts. Makeing room for my feet. I used to do circle track steerings [Mopar] back in the 60's with a 2" tubular extension and a 265 SBC connecting rod for the outer support. On this hot rod I wanted it to look more proffessonal. I made a very short adaptor and then I used a Pittman arm shaft from a Chevy box. I had purchased an aftermarket arm a while back at a swap meet. I made a mandrel to turn down the Willys Pittman arm to accept the tubular extension. The Chevy shaft will be shotened after I install the body. The vertical frame will be braced to the door jambs. The drag link is perfectly horizntal. I have 2 1/2 turns lock to lock but I think I will speed it up some by shortening the steering arm. This is going to be interesting I can see now.
Is that a Jeep CJ steering box? They pull those out around here an put Saginaw boxes in when they redo the Jeeps for serous four wheeling in the mountains.

I love your build. V8 60 front axle can't be beat. Real mags with knockoffs OK.
Are you going to put a rear deck on it? My similar concept.

Found a Woodward NASCAR steering column [ neat piece] with a Rebco quick release steering hub at the swap meet 4-9-16. Fitted it to the car 4-10-16. Had to make an adapter sleeve. FRANKLAND w LOCKER. OFFY INTAKES 027.JPG

Did the plywood floor. Widening the body 2" at the bottom and doing the trans cover 1/16" away from the bell housing gave me just enough room for 3 pedals. Will install floor with SEM structual adhesive. Did the brake and clutch. Did the accelerator useing a Nascar setup. Another neat piece found at the swap meet. Mounted a very small alternator. Got lucky there. 1/2" thick slingshot mount just the right thickness for perfect belt alignment. Had to rework the Speedway Motors pulley. Painted the Halibrand wheels. Camera flash made the rear wheel look a little light. When you can, how about some closeups of that finished throttle setup.
I see the Clecos on the firewall, are you mechanically fastening it or bonding it?
Another question, what paint did you use on the Hal's?

Did the blue print for the custom radiator, 5-15-16. Built 2 seats today. One piece. 4 small bends for the sides. [ on my big early 1900 brake ] The bottom bend I did with one foot standing on it and pulling up. Did the final bending on the shift lever. seat--573--brakes--27 006.JPG seat--573--brakes--27 007.JPG seat--573--brakes--27 008.JPG seat--573--brakes--27 011.JPG seat--573--brakes--27 012.JPG seat--573--brakes--27 013.JPG

Great build, Nice mix of race parts and hot rod parts.
What are you targeting for a wheelbase?

To me the car looks quite long right now, but the wheelbase is only 108".

Did the driveshaft tunnel and transmission cover this week. I have made trans covers one piece in the past. Never again. I taped my 32 style gauge thing in place to see how it looks. A little big for this narrow dash. Most likely won't use it. FRANKLAND...27...FENTON 007.JPG FRANKLAND...27...FENTON 008.JPG

Unable to find windshield posts that I liked so I built my own. The 3/4" tube at the bottom drops into the door jam reinforcement [1" X 1 1/2"] DRUMS----WINDSHIELD POSTS 008.JPG DRUMS----WINDSHIELD POSTS 006.JPG DRUMS----WINDSHIELD POSTS 005.JPG DRUMS----WINDSHIELD POSTS 010.JPG DRUMS----WINDSHIELD POSTS 009.JPG and is secured by a bolt near the bottom. The aluminum jig is a little flimsy but masking tape helped do the job. The center spacer is 3/8" X 3/8" bar stock. Had to do 4 p***es [TIG] for the fillet at the base. I guess a metal caulking gun [MIG] would have worked better. I do the prep work for chroming.
