That is a great body and ch***is, what is the story behind it, someone's stalled project or one you started? WFB (worlds fastest bird) is the Peregrine Falcon good for 200MPH in a dive, don't know if any have tiny red hats.

I wish I could take credit for hand forming the aluminum body, but I can't. My friend Kieth Allen had the body in his attic. He doesn't remember who made it, but he said it was an older gentleman in the aircraft industry, and was made about 20 years ago. I got the grill from him too. It's an original old big car grill, pretty nice actually, made from steel. Logan Davis has done all the work on the frame here at our shop. It's gonna be a 4 springer.

Here is the drivetrain so far. The front axle is a 20's Chrysler. Anybody know what year ?

Bobby, could you post a better shot of the front axle? I don't think it is Chrysler, most of the ones I've seen have a yoke style end, it may be a Franklin. Hope these photos are clear enough.

Just wondering how an approved roll cage will look on this car, will they allow a bolt on unit? Sure would be nice to have a safe and legal salt car and a 1935-36 period correct race car. Wheels, tell us about the plans for the wheels!

Nice bottle of worm infested tequila. hahaha. Worm food is right.

Yes, I've been keeping Logan busy, but not for much longer, ... Uncle Sam will be keeping him busy for the rest of the year. I don't know if you heard, but the dumb lug head went and joined the Navy reserves. He ships out in a couple weeks. So say your goodbyes now.

Bobby, That is one Beautiful motor! Looking at what you traded for it, you must've wanted it BAD!
I'd LOVE to hear it run.

Hey Bobby Green, heres a guy who is wondering what they did to that racing engine to make it suitable for 40,000 miles on the street.

What can you tell us about that?

Here is what was written in the book "Offy" , After I tear down the motor, I will let you know more, but from what I've seen, it looks like it's been freshened up in the not too distant past.

    Hi LB,
Yes, there has been some progress, although a bit slow for my liking, but progress none the less. The car is now a roller, and will start off running a Ford model B banger for a year, before we put in the offy. Wanna work out all the bugs first. The shop and life and racing have slowed the VOT car, but I plan on having the rollcage done by April of next year. But as the old saying goes: "Announcing ones plans, is a good way to hear God laugh."
    So we'll see.
