Also swapped the front jets to 60's and put the 49's in the centre carbs keeping in mind the mechanics of a gm blower will push pressure everywhere but anything with m*** to the rear. Finally got it running good on sat arvo before running out of fuel, went for a couple runs on Sunday and took Evel for a run as i was loading it up to go home,so might even see it on mad fabricators? One last thing thanks to absolutely everyone who helped with this build including you guys who just say a quick word or two here, it all helps to keep me motivated. Probably won't update this till march as I'll hopefully be taking it to the drags then, hopefully some good times will prevail! Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Loaded and ready to go to chopped. These are the only pics I have from the weekend and none were taken by me so thanks to the guys who posted these! Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Action shot thanks to diced. Might set it up for more than half throttle for the tar too so stay tuned! Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Just a spare of the moment thought, otherwise that y block would still be sitting there and I would still be having sick thoughts of turning the velox into my girls daily drive, it's all ok she has a 62 falcon now. Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
I heard about these forever BUT I never heard how the name is supposed to be pronounced? doesn't matter just a morning afterthought.

I ran at the nostalgia drags the other day, best time was a 13.6. But any time under 14.5 was limited to a top speed of 99mph due to valve float! so gotta put some spings in it and aiming for a 12 sec p***! Might treat it to some pushrods while i am at it!
That thing is ****ing rad! The British mags wer full of sky high vauxhalls and fords when I was a kid, it's cars like yours that got me into this addiction. F
It's too easy to take this g***er for granted- your machine work is good and this thread serves to show it ( which is really good) ! I saw it at Chopped too. The crowd dig it. It ran good, considering the thrash. Impressive! It looks great in the burnout a few posts back.
Thanks guys! Yeah it came up a treat with a wash after chopped! Still finding mud everywhere though! I am just amazed at how much potential a blower can extract from a essentially stock engine! If it breaks into the 12's that's 3 sec quicker just by bolting it on! Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
This is a big part of the appeal- following the formula of early g***er practise. Before it all went 'pro'.
I took a few pics of it at the Nostalgias in Sydney weekend before last, sent them over to NZ to a few mates who appreciated it also.Good looking Rig.Wish I had of said gidday now.
Very Cool! I saw this over on y-blocksforever but just found it here thanks to Spoggie. Very Cool indeed!
Good god is this car cool. Not only a PA, but a 3-window PA! Hmmm... I have the rusty 62 sitting in the garage.... hmmm.... BTW, I own 2 PAs, a 60 and a 62. both LHD.
