Shade trees were in high demand today in Alabama. It was hot but the Noccalula Run was very good. The swap meet was great and we met some very nice folks. Heres a few pics of what we saw. Kevin
I've had this show in my plans for quite a while....My gl*** man calls a couple days ago and said he'd be here early this morning to install a windshield in my 72 pickup...never showed. Thanks for postin the pics...at least I kinda feel like I got to see some of it.
I made it there also. It was a good turnout for the swapmeet, but I didn't find what I needed.I left just before the severe thunderstorm came in. Alabama in summer....hot and humid...just the way I like it.
I'm glad you posted the pics, Thanks! I was hoping to get to Huntsville early today and drive over before it ended but I missed my flight and wont get in until 11:30 tonight.
Here's some of the treasures I found. Behind the '40 wheels and Coker Firestone tires is a 4340 crank for the newest version of the A model sedan engine.... Nice. Picked a few more Ford 94 carbs too. Can't have enough of them right? That kinda weird pic is a 17" '34 ford car wheel, too bad that really nice set of Ford caps won't fit them. Kevin
This is a great event. More of a swap meet than a car show. We always have a blast even if we don't sell or buy anything.
i do wish this was a different date.than the same as the hot rod reunion.although if its as hot as it was next year in bowling green i may stay close to home. thanks for the pics.anybody know how much for the chopped a coupe?
Well I didn't see you or I would have. Maybe it was so damn hot that my vision was blurred.... The chopped coupe body was $4500 FIRM. I'm sure he took it back home for that price. It was rough everywhere, no firewall, and the patches look like my nieces put them in.
Hey, I was there friday. Had on my HAMBAndy shirt. Got to meet one HAMBer(can't find his card at the moment). Bought a few pieces, and the shade sure was nice.
The chopped A coupe body pictured in the post? Asking $3000. And I'm sorry it looked like your niece did it. It was my first time and we can't all be perfect.
Sorry Koop just an observation, nieces are pretty talented. The '32-'34 caps do fit my 17" wheels after all, they had some kind of adapter rings snapped on them for some other wheel. Popped them off and they fit like a dream. Nice!
