Technical 28’ Chevy CARB issue

Working on a 28’ Chevy Coupe. It has the original Carter RAKX-O carb (one year only) and it needs a new throttle valve. I’m coming empty on a replacement.

looking for a good used part, carb, or alternative carb ideas.

Looks to me like you could do some soldering and add a piece of brass reinforcement, and fix that, without too much trouble?

 

If you can’t repair it, I’d try Gary Wallace. It’s been some time, be he seems to have EVERYTHING. Next stop would be the VCCA forums, if they can’t find it, you don’t need it.

Part number is a 2-21s.
