    Hello,

Ever since those old photo shoot days, the chopped sedan delivery met some hard times. It was involved in a bad accident and consequently, sold the remains to someone from Northern California. It was rumoured to have been rolled, but salvageable.

The last word years ago was someone from the Bay area now has the chopped sedan delivery in its new clothes. “ the emperor has his new clothes…” from an old kid book.

So, does anyone know the owner or where the chopped sedan delivery is today? It was once the pride and joy of the San Diego Prowlers Car Club and was handed down in the family to the stage where I photographed it for a magazine article.

But, then it was in the accident and sold. To make the whole tragic thing better, Lee Bright started a new sedan delivery and it was/is a cl***ic.

With the build and custom ideas of the 28 chopped Ford Sedan Delivery , this yellow 40 Deluxe Sedan Delivery became the most sought after build in all of So Cal. including this custom rear belly pan with louvers.

Daily driving in warm/hot inland El Cajon? Not a problem with the installed custom A/C…

As a flathead 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery owner as a teen and a 327 powered 40 sedan delivery as a married couple, we have different styles and builds. Well, the flathead was not a full build, but a modified one from possible the fastest 40 Ford Sedan Delivery in So Cal until I bought it.

The original owner had a powerful 348 motor I desperately wanted in the sedan delivery as it was listed for sale. But, no one wanted to pay the price, so the owner and I went several rounds to get the price down to an affordable teen’s bank account savings. Ha! I was able to buy the sedan delivery, but without the 348 motor. Awwww…

The flathead powered sedan delivery was a fabulous trouble free daily driver all over So Cal and Baja, Mexico, until I sold it to go away to college.

Our own 327 powered 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery was a project that took many months of work to complete for a “no problems” daily driver hot rod for my wife and me. It was difficult to get my wife to not drive the car as it was a “cool” hot rod and had a nice A/C unit to arrived anywhere in style...YRMV

There was a guy named Bob Anderson who drove a red Offy A RPU, which I believe also traveled a bit. Came to New Zealand 20 or 30 years ago.

Looks to me like it might be the same car
