    Forgot where I found this. But the belly tank P38 racer has always been something I would love to build one day. This one especially was memorable in design. God bless the greatest generation!

    One of my favorite model A's is this 31 that we built out of a 31 slant windshield four door sedan front and sport coupe rear quarters. It was a rusty old body so I built a rusty 32 frame to matchfrom an original frame that had been left out in a muddy pasture for several decades. There's probably not a lot of people who think that old frame was savable, but it was.

    yup. you can see the SBC front motor mounts. I can't remember if I noticed at the time or heard people talking about it. that was 19 years ago :eek:

    We did something similar to the above 25+ years ago. Someone gave me the DeSoto valve covers. I foolishly traded them for some unseen dented Chrysler chrome valve covers I needed for my Plymouth. Never was good at swapping, but I guess I lost no money on the deal. A good joke, some thought I'd put a hemi in it.
