Hot Rods 28 Model A Tie Rod End Rebuild Question

Hello all,
I've replaced the balls on the steering arms and am ready to install the tie rod rebuild kits.
The question is, the spring ***emblies come with a separate cup that weren't in my existing tie rod.

 

The tie rod/drag link rebuild kit should come with, 4 end plugs, 4 springs, 4 "mushrooms" and 1 cup. The tie rod ends get spring, mushroom then comes the ball and then the end plug. The drag link gets spring, mushroom, the ball and then a cap. The drag link that goes to the pitman arm gets the cup, ball, mushroom, spring and cup. The cup you mention is for the drag link. Don't forget the rubber dust seal and metal reinforcement piece on each end. Bob
