You nailed it ! Love the attention to detail.

It's been great following this build.

Look forward to your super secret interior.

  2. Hey Rolf -- Thanks, great to hear from you. I'm totally stoked to be ebhind the wheel, can't believe how light and easy the steering is. I'm going to try to get it into the alignment shop this week and fine tune it.

A buddy has offered to repaint my hood -- if I louver it. To be honest, I'd thought about it but never follwed thru. Now I kinda like the simplicity of it. What do you think? Vent or no vent?

Sweet ride, my friend. The time spent is now irrelevant. Drive it, play with it, enjoy it.
Congratulations on the first drive. That is truly a benchmark. I got to take mine, just last night. Still gives me goosebumps.
Congrats on a job well done.

Folding the windshield forward was “the thing” to do in the late-1920s/early-1930s. I hadn’t realized that was an accessory for Fords, as I’ve seen them that way. Of course, maybe it became standard in ‘30?

I’ve always fancied having a windshield that was adjustable from flat-on-the-cowl to raked-back, so that I could have my cake and eat it too: good looks and a functional top, plus the ability to fold it flat when parked. I can’t believe too many folks drove around with the windshield folded flat even at the lower speeds back then. Sure looks cool sitting in the drive, though.
