Just thought I would share my new hot rod with y'all. its a '28 Tudor on a late '29 chassis runs like a top and stops........well its stops like a Model A should. of course I had to do some instant high speed mods to it like lose the hood (+5hp) and had to paint the radiator shell black(unknown amounts of hp increased there) I have lots in store for this one I am keeping the banger and the Mechanical brakes (please don't start on me for that) I am looking for an inexpensive v8 trans to put in it asap as these straight cut gears suck!!

Cling's Aftermarket makes a what I believe is a bolt-on adapter kit for the brake and clutch pedals, wishbone ball mount, etc. so you can put a later Ford 3-speed toploader into your Model A. This kit retains the original pedals, their position and geometry for mechanical brakes. I am using just the brake/clutch pedal adapter for my AV8 project. Exceptional quality and craftsmanship. I believe it is a direct bolt-in to the existing torque tube in your "A" as well.

Inexpensive (relatively) way to lower it is to put a Model T spring in the rear and get your original axle dropped AND STRETCHED by Okie Joe at Joe's speed shop. The STRETCH is the key to retaining the mechanical brakes. Talk to him and he will personally tell you all about it. Really nice guy

BTW...awesome car. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't paint it.

Not much progress as of late, working 2 jobs and 3 kids takes just about all my "free" time up. I did put a reverse eye spring up front that I had from another project and a lowered headlight bar also tuned up the brakes (huge difference). Other then that I have just been enjoying driving it around. My 2 year old really likes going for rides in it she is pretty awesome.
