  2. Thank you, thank you for the info here, Lockwood. We're in the middle of a 283 swap /power pack heads and early Corvette goodies. lots of great ideas here, especially the white firewall. Love it.

Hi; put a 283 in my 36 panel truck hooked to 40 side shift tranny and 373 gears, got 24 MPG on one fuel stop on the way to Bonneville last year, and averaged 18!! you will LOVE it over that flathead! VERY COOL car you got there!!! Chris

Thanks everyone :) I have been wanting to do some more to the car and well this is the start for the new year. Yes the motor is built so it should be okay.

I just went up and pulled her out of her winter hibernation. I have to get the intake on and the running boards covered for the Calvalcade of Cars coming up at the end of this month.

This is how she looks right at the moment

Started building the linkage today. Tomorrow I will have the cross bar made that ties the 6 carbs together. I am also planning to have the fuel lines made and polished.

Nice looking setup. The lines look really nice. However, in the hot weather if you ever have a problem with vapor lock I'd look to how the lines are run in an attempt to solve the problem. I see that some of the lines after they exit the fuel block rise higher than the inlet of the carb they feed. Being copper and with the tendency of copper to absorb heat the gas will percolate in that higher loop preventing fuel transfer to the carb. May not ever be a problem but thought I'd mention it.
Nothing like drag racing on very hot summer days to discover any deficiency in a fuel delivery system.

Okay, so my garage is full and well this is what Hot Rodders do right? We make due with what we have. So my buddy and I are trying to get this new 6x2 on the 39 for the show this weekend. This is where we got last night and today I am hoping it will be on with no issues. :D

Well I made this little collage of the 39 just to show how she looked years ago when I brought her home. Then how I have changed her over the years. :D
