Thanks guys for the possitives.....I put these videos up cause I know you like to see some of the things we work on.

To those who ask for specs....I NEVER intentionally try to be rude or vauge,But all I can say are basics and odvious....remember my engines are built for customers and they are paying for a service.

I treat all customers the same as far as confidentiality....In the race world some compete against each other.
I know on here most of what I show are hotrod motors ,But I believe in the same policy.
Its up to who's paying the tab to share specs, power levels or moneys spent.

    Thanks for understanding,
    Tony

The mark of a true gentleman and professional. We could use more of them today. I think starting in Washington would be a good idea.

  6. Awesome Tony! It was nice talking to you the other day. Can't wait to start an engine build someday.

did you start with a 3884520 head or is there a better stock head to start with to get those numbers?

No way I was pooping, my bung hole was pinched tight and eyebrows raised, when that thing was on high wail. I was also wondering if that was bullet proof gl*** incase that thing wanted out..lol

Nice video and responses Tony, oh yeah nice engine build too. I don't think the G.M. engineers would believe it possible to get that much power out of their little 283 back in 57.

Nice work Tony. Question, do you do anything special to reinforce the block when revving at those high rpm's?

Things I will say, It's a 3.911 bore with smaller Int valves

To watch this car run, when its on, is fun cause its such a tank!!

This is a stick car and its hard on the drive train at 3950 lbs(rule)

Tony,, The reason I'm impressed,, back in the early 70's I ran a 314 inch SBC in a 3780 lb car E/MP best time was 11.03-123.5 MPH. According to the Moroso calculator it required 552 HP to move that much weight that fast. It had tunnel ram two 660 carbs, Lunati roller, Brooks rods, 461 heads with ***anium valves 2.02-1.6. m***ive grinding, 50 pound flywheel, NP Hemi 4 speed, 6:17 Dana, 11 wide 31 tall Goodyears, Launch was at 10 or better and shifting at 8500. The last 4 p***es were 11.11,, pulled it down to freshen it and never put it back together. Sold the car minus Eng and trans. Had a Moroso 11 grand tach with tattletail and pegged it on every p***.
I have played those videos about 10 times---- WOW!! I know how hard it is to go that fast,,,and you did it with a single 4BBL and I would say little head work and small valves,,, YES,,,,I am impressed. Music to my ears,,,Earl

The downside to hearing and seeing that thing side-step the clutch when the light turns green, is that I'd be arrested for ************ in public before the car hit the 60-foot beams.

I understand the need to keep details quiet but it sure makes it tough for those without the knowledge to gain a little more (and most of us will never afford a race motor). more curiousity of the type of parts it takes to make HP. (with compression limited and so is the size of the motor, it would think it basically must come down to head flow and cam specs..) but my knowledge is so light so I might be missing something else.
