My OT C65 chevy ten wheel truck has a 366 5 speed and two speed. And It came with a Governor holley. And The rear secondairys will not open just by mashing it to the floor. It has to be in a hard pull and the vacuum running thru the dist signal the carb to open up the secondairy. And the rear float bowl became full of varnish. I had the TD 14A dozer on the back came to a steep grade and when the four bbl opened it fell flat on its face. It has full air brakes so I could hold it and restart and creep it the hill in low gear. It now has a Carter carb HEI ignition and no governor. And yes Im a Hot Rodder. But im old and some vehicles I don't drive I just start them up and let them warm up and put them back in hibernation. I will let them run out of fuel so the carb is empty. But at idle the rear bowls don't empty on a Holley or Rochester 4gc. You can remove a float bowl screw on the holley. Gotta drill and tap a drain on other carbs.
I am sorry that my phone won't let me let me send pictures to post . Went to the car today and believe I had the distributor set in wrong but I believe I have it right now. I am charging my battery The manifold is a edelbrock torker. Thanks again.
The torker isn't a low RPM manifold. You have too much top end carb and intake for a stock engine. lots of times folks keep adding speed parts and wind up with a engine too souped up to run.
Correct . A Torker is a single plane , descendant of the Tarantula. It has no business being on that car .750 Holley either. Get rid of it! That's a semi- rare car. Put a 457 pp manifold on it with a 4 GC or a 500 AFB , with a 459 327/300 manifold, which is probably too big also, and enjoy driving that thing.
