    Hello all,

I just picked up a 56 Chevy 210 2-door and am wondering if anyone has successfully put a 29.5"X10X15 pie crust style cheater slick under the car without radiusing the fenderwells and such. I did a search but couldn't find a definitive answer.

I really like the way the car below looks, does anyone have any info or know the rear wheel / tire size on it?

    Thanks in advance

No help, but just want to mention that a '56 minus the front bumper is instant badazz! Almost like the engineers/designers foreseen the future.

Ive had old school L-60 15s that were pretty close to that size on a stock wheelwell/rearend car.....had to use 7 inch wheels though - even with the right offset to stay off the outer lip, it gets really tight on the leaf spring and inner wheelhouse and you may have to unhook shocks/drop the rear to get them in and out......swap the spring hangars from side to side (pretty easy and free just have to remove the spare tire well and re-center the tank) that frees up a ton of room even if you dont mini-tub it....

    Yes,

This is my long gone OT 56 with a 12-3/4" wide tire stuffed under it. Springs moved inboard and mini tubbed. Did this before you could buy the repop widened rear inner fenders. Check out the newest Street Rodder magazine.

    John,

Were you running a factory width rear end?

We used to just swap the spring hangers from side to side and that would move the springs inboard of the frame

I moved the springs into the frame rails. Slick and easy kit. Can't remember where I got it now. Danchuck?

10.00 x 15 Radirs on 15 x10 Americans. "Mini tubs" to the frame. Before the wheelwells were cut, the suspension had to be at full drop to get them out from under there.

Run a 15x7 rallye wheel and roll the fender lip with a Louisville slugger. Lippy
