Just wondering what people's opinion is as far as using a '29 A I-beam and transverse leaf spring for my '40 Chev truck gasser project... Good or bad choice? Would I be better off with the stock '40 Chev I beam and parallel leafs? or should I turn to the aftermarket?
Just a side note, it will see heavy strip use but I still want it to look cool.. which is where I think the A front end would come into play.
    Thanks

  2. The truck already has parallel leafs up front. Just get a straight axle, the stock axle has drop built in. You can get a completely straight tube axle, just have to weld the pads on.
