    Awsome pictures Kiwi!
    Did the the roadster survive?
Does it give you goosebumps knowing the history that took place in the garage you were working in? Did you know anything about it then?

  2. Here's a pic of his DeSoto powered 32 coupe outside the garage. I'll find a couple of pics from when I was using the garage. I have some pics of the 57 that I'll post as soon as I figure out how to rotate them.

Here are a few more of that car. ;) Yes Kev, I do pay attention. :D
Please do! Microsoft Paint can do a nifty job of rotating them. Or if you want, feel free to send me the highest-res pics you can and I'll rotate them for ya. ;)

Check out the louvered tailgate on this '57 Ranchero. NEAT! That's NOT Red Bull they're drinking.

That does look like the nose of the Speed Sport Roadster in the other color picture with the chopped sedan in the background. There are some SHARP-eyed people on this board.

Great stuff. Thanks. I saved them ALL!

    WOW...this is fantastic.
I can't believe the collection of awesome pic's and history you've put up here for us.
    Thanks, LSM

  11. Although Jim told me he bought this roadster from Ron Williams it is NOT the car from Rodders Journal. This is a 29 on 32 rails and that one is a 30-31 on an A chassis. I did get to see the Rodders Journal car when it was back in the shed covered in dust with the engine on a stand beside it. I couldn't believe Steve Coonan didn't include an as discovered picture in that article. That was the whole story! A friend of mine took some so I'll try to get a couple to post one day.

  12. This thread is why the hamb is such a cool place! Nice!

    very cool nice history story.

  14. Like I said, the garage behind the red 32 is the same garage I had from 1987-1992. I used it for personal use for a few years and then began working full time out of it. I had no idea of its history until one day Jim came over with his scrap book from the old days. He was running Culligan water and his office was directly across from the garage. Here are some pics from when I had it.........
