I have a mostly stock 1929 ford model A truck, and want to convert it to disc brakes. What is the easiest and or cheapest way to do so... speedway has aconversion kit for 37-48 ford spindles but also sells a 28-48 ford spindle. Is this a typo or will the 37-48 brake kit work on my original 29 spindle.

This question pops up on here quite a bit, you can do a search. There isn't a disc brake kit for the model A spindle. If you are keeping it traditional with the banger, you can easily convert 39-48 hydraulic drum brakes with a readily available spacer kit. They will stop it really well.

The reply by 31Apickup, above, is right on the money for ease of conversion and to also retain a somewhat traditional appearance. Don't think in terms of stopping power. I don't think you are planning a Hemi engine swap in the nerar future? (smiling) Drums on all four work just fine. Master cylinder/mount and so on....
    Speedway is a great source.
